New Canvas

Your life is like a painting

Left behind

For us to admire...

And while we ponder

The days you spent with us

He will start another painting

With a new canvas

To paint another work of art

That awaits our arrival

And reunion

And delight.

Then the painting we have now

Of the memories

And the tears

And the years

Will disappear

And fade away

When we see each other again.

And the new canvas

Will hold a beautiful new painting

That shall never fade.
