The following pictures are an artistic conception of what heaven looks like according to the book of Revelation. The above picture shows one of the streets made of gold, leading up to the throne of God. The river of life flows under the throne, along the middle of the main street, with this gold walkway intersecting the main street in a perpendicular fashion. I believe that the “sea of glass” referenced in Revelation 4:6 is a huge expanse of a material that has infinite reflections.  Copyright 2010, DesertSnow and its licensors.

“The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.” Hebrews 8:1-2

“But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.” Hebrews 12:22-23a

“I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” Revelation 21:3-5
