If I could be your mirror I would sit on your dresser, and be happy forever each time you came by

To say you’re the greatest, and whenever you would cry

To get you to laugh and dry the tear in your eye

I could watch as you brushed the sunlight into your hair

And remind you to look for the good everywhere

I could see in your eyes the presence of Him

Who glows in your heart when earthly hopes dim

I would eagerly wait for the first morning sun

And wait for you there till each day was done

If I were a mirror I would always rejoice

To see your smile or hear your voice

If I were a mirror every day you could see…
