6. Drifting Clouds O’er The Moon was inspired after I was outside one night and a full moon was the backdrop for puffy clouds being blown along by a summer breeze. One minute the moon was completely covered over by clouds and the next minute the clouds moved past the glowing sphere and all the glory of the moon was unveiled. It was such a beautiful sight to see that glorious objects in the sky whose light we depend upon can never be covered forever even by storm clouds. And the light shines through even the darkest clouds just as righteousness shines through even during the worst times. And even when we are misunderstood, our light will shine through eventually so that the whole world will be able to see the truth and the motives behind what we have done for God.

7. Kind Heart was written for those who are really having a hard time with all the horrid things that have been done in the name of Jesus Christ. The song emphasizes the true meaning of the love of God and that the message is very simple - that God loves us and sent his Son. It’s not about politics or power or any of the many other horrible acts that have been done in history by supposed “Christians.” There is always an excuse for something awful that someone does and plenty of people through history have taken Christianity hostage and used it for their evil plots and purposes. But Christ’s simple message (cont.-->)

has nothing whatsoever to do with all of the schemes of people who have used it wrongfully. Please don’t let these misuses and abuses of the message of love and hope ruin your attitude towards Christ himself. “By this shall everyone know that you are my disciples- that you have love for one another” (John 13:35).
Jesus didn’t burn people at the stake, or torture others, or do all the incredible things people have done throughout history (because often times they were afraid of losing power or influence over others). Jesus died on a cross for all the sins of humanity on top of a hill that was outside the city next to a garbage dump. Jesus went outside the city - outside of any circle of importance or power. He laid aside his rights as the Son of God and showed us all that he meant what he said - “No greater love can anyone have than this: that someone lays down their life for their friend” (John 15:13).
Jesus laid down his life for you. Please don’t let the garbage dump of evil deeds and misuse of power throughout history keep you from the hill where he died for you! Ask him into your heart today and start reading the book of John in the Bible.
Give Jesus a fair chance and you might be surprised at the person you discover who can change your life! Make your way to the hill called Calvary and you will find the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).

8. New Ariel Joy is about your first day in heaven. The 3/4 time waltz-type part of the music makes me think of when you first go in through the gates of the city. I think you will be awestruck. And then when the faster music starts, it symbolizes a short time later when you break into joyful dancing! The music gets slow again, and the strings in the background express the overwhelming feeling of being so small in such a big, beautiful place in the presence of God! Then the music breaks out into joyful Celtic dance rhythms and ends with bagpipe, the instrument that seems to bring heaven to earth. “ARIEL” is an Old Testament word for “Jerusalem.”

9. Ride On is a song based on the oriental translation of the verse, “He inhabits the praise of his people.” They translate that phrase as, “He rides on the praise of his people.” The imagery in the lyrics is taken from passages in the Psalms and Ezekiel chapters 1 and 10.
