I want to find a new life

But will new life find me?

I know that everyone needs something of value

On the inside to be appreciated and accepted

By others in a mutually beneficial relationship

But do I have something of value to give to others

That isn’t tied to the past?

And can I ever escape

The haunts of those people who are gone

Who I will never see again on this earth

Who are not allowing me to go on with my life -
