I am especially concerned right now about all the people who have lost jobs, lost homes, lost their future, lost their children, their spouse, and maybe are on the street now. My heart goes out to those who worked at Lehman Brothers, Bear-Stearns, Washington Mutual, AIG, and on and on.... It might be that the people who need to come to this site the most don’t have access to a computer now. If you know someone like that, please send them here. They will find compassion, deep thoughts, beautiful pictures, stories, and poems, and a place they can feel at home. Please open up your heart to the things spoken on this site. Don’t stereo-type anything you see on here; read through a lot of the content and you may find yourself surprised that you have run across something that enables you to keep going, even if you disagree with some of the articles. The “doors” to this web site are never closed - they are open for those who have suffered a loss. Lately, more and more people belong to this category. Some losses are greater than others, but this site tries to deal with all of them. If you’ve lost a loved one, suffered a loss through divorce, or suffered the loss of your job or the things that are dear to you, this is a place you can come at any time for encouragement. Everyone deals with loss differently; some get over it quickly and bounce back. But if you are having troubles doing that, maybe you should spend some time here. Some people spend a lot of time here. If you have been here before, you will notice that the home page has completely changed in most respects. This is partly because there is so much content on here that it is impossible to give each poem, feature, story, picture, etc, a special place on the home page. The other reason is that there are so many pictures on this site that they have been divided up more, over several pages. There is probably no way you could browse through all the content on here in one sitting, and don’t expect to breeze through any of this, because it is not a “business” type web site. There are places on here that people mark and come back to over and over. If you have dial-up, the pages may load slowly because of all the pictures. Please find a computer at a library or a university and try viewing the pages again. It will be worth your trouble. This site takes on the hardest questions you could ask about life and tries to offer some thoughts that you may have never had on the subject(s). Some people are stuck in life - they can’t seem to move on. Maybe it isn’t a good thing to move on - not yet. You may not be able to move on as fast as you wanted to. Grief over a loss has a way of holding you in place, and you have to start over again and again. There are people considering ending their lives now, with all the things that are happening to our country; please don’t - please get counseling, find a friend, or whatever you have to do to keep going and find a new road to travel on. You are important, loved, worthwhile, intelligent, and you are not a failure. You are welcome here, and you will not be turned away. Please don’t give up. It is very tempting sometimes, but it is not the right decision, and it is not the only choice, no matter how you feel right now. If the future worries you, join the club with many other people from around the world who come here. The future may not be very bright in some respects, but there is hope. And if you are going to find hope, you sometimes have to search very hard. It may not come to you on its own, and hope may not be easy to find. But there is hope and everyone needs it. The picture below this text is the first in a series of an artist’s conception of what heaven looks like. I hope you find hope in these pictures, and in the words that go with them. I also wish for you to find a reason to go on if you are in despair, and that you realize that the world needs you. You were born for this time, and no one else can do the things that were meant for you to do. You may call me a liar, or think I’m crazy, but you are not a waste of time. You are not worthless. Don’t believe what this world says about you. And don’t let the world judge your worth by standards that blow away in the wind the day after they are announced. This has been a very hard year for many people. Many people have lost their loved ones, lost their dreams, lost their future. Your dreams may be in ashes. If they are, this is the place for you. There isn’t any advertising that flashes in your eyes while you try and read one of the pages on here, and the site is free. You can use the artwork if you want, but please tell others where you got the artwork so that they will come here and find something that might help them go on with their life. Thank you for coming to DesertSnow... Randy Stahla |

An artist’s conception of heaven - this is a far-away view. The “tubes” are travel-ways, and the buildings serve various functions such as classrooms, administration, and places to live. There are more pictures to follow... |

Light and rainbows are everywhere. The bright lights on the side of the building are groups of angelic beings; down below in front are streets of gold and the walkway towards the throne of God. |

In the foreground is one of the streets of gold, and behind that is a person standing on the “Sea of glass” spoken of in Revelation chapter 4. The river of life and a lake are shown in the background as well. I haven’t been able to put a lot of people, angels, etc, in the pictures yet because it would crash my computer. I am hoping to do this when I get a much more powerful machine to work on. |

Here is a closer view of a gold street and the gate to heaven which is described as being made of a “single pearl” (Revelation chapter 21) and is always open. In front of the gate is an angelic being welcoming a boy who has entered heaven for the first time. |
