Sometimes you find a penny
On the street or sidewalk
But there are so many pennies that you might pass it up
Sometimes you find a dollar in a couch or a chair
You wonder how it got there
And you are unaware
|
|
 |
 |
|
Of its coming and going
As you find it and spend it.
And some things are obvious, some not
Some free, some bought
Some few, some a lot
Some large, some small
Some short, some tall...
You might walk through life and miss a gold piece, or other rarity
Or in giving to charity

You might just throw a handful of coins
Into the fountain and make a wish.
You miss so many things
And some things are obvious, some not
Some free, some bought
Some few, some a lot
Some large, some small
Some short, some tall...
