This site is dedicated to those who have suffered a loss - almost any type, and those who are having a hard time with life in general. Originally, this site was for people who have lost a loved one. But with all the bad news nowadays, and a world that seems to be coming apart at the seams, there are features, poems, and stories for many different needs. The main goal is simply to encourage people in any way possible, and to provide a site with very little advertising or promotion - a free place to rest and contemplate.
As far as losing a loved one, generally people don’t get over a loss quickly. A year after the funeral, people who have lost someone may still be having a very difficult time. Those around them may expect the person who is grieving to “Just get over it.”
But for those who have been through it, things don’t get back to “normal” quite so easily as we would all like them to. There are no easy answers, and dealing with loss can be like a long journey that takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride.
This website is for those who are still on the journey, and just need a place where they can go and rest. I hope you will find this to be an oasis where you will always be accepted as you are.
